Title: Oatmeal Raisin Biscuits

Yield: 18 Biscuits

1 3/4cAll-purpose flour
1/2cQuick oats, uncooked
2tbSugar
1tsBaking powder
1/2tsSalt
1/2tsBaking soda
1/2cGolden raisins
1/4cButter
3/4cButtermilk

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Combine flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda in large mixing bowl. Stir in raisins. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in buttermilk just nutil dough holds together. Knead dough on lightly floured surface about 10 times. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a 2-inch diameter round cutter. Place biscuits about 1-inch apart on buttered cookies sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden. Cool slightly. Remove from cookies sheet. Serve warm or cold with butter.
